Join Lily Pad’s Daytime Mini-League— three mornings of tiles, laughter, and friendly competition! Whether you’re sharpening your skills or just love playing with friends, this league is for you. Over the season, you’ll improve your game, meet fellow players, and compete for prizes in our welcoming parlor. 

🦃Schedule: 

    • November 4th· League Morning (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
    • November 11th· League Morning (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM)
    • November 18th· League Morning (10:00 AM - 12:00 PM)

🦃Registration

  • Includes all 3 sessions
  • Eligible for weekly prizes & championship prize

🦃Skill Level

  • Beginner: Mahjong 101 or equivalent required, slower pace of play, still learning NMJL card and rules (pace 3-4 games in 2 hours)
  • Intermediate: Comfortable with NMJL card and rules, faster pace of play (pace 5-6 games in 2 hours)

🦃Sub Policy

Can’t make a day? Send a substitute! We will try our best to find subs but sometimes may not be possible because there is less daytime availability for daytime subs! Your first sub is "free", meaning you will receive their full score, second time you need a sub will have a 25% reduction to their score, and 3rd+ will be 50% reduction to their score.

  • NMJL rules with bonuses:
  • Self-pick +10 | Jokerless +10 | Wall game +10 | Discard –10
  • Beginner: Best 3 scores of the first 4 games each night count
  • Intermediate:  Best 5 scores of the first 6 games each night count
  • Weekly winners receive small prizes
  • League Champion Grand Prize: Prizes for 1st-3rd

All open play and league registrations are subject to the City of Chicago Amusement Tax, which we are required to collect by law.
