Looking for a truly special way to celebrate? A private event at Lily Pad Mahjong Parlor means the entire parlor is yours. Whether it’s a birthday, a corporate team-building night, or a girls’ night out, our private experiences offer an elevated, personalized way to learn and play Mahjong in a beautiful setting — just steps from Wrigley Field.
Unlike our larger group classes, a private event gives you:
- Exclusive use of the parlor for your group only (2.5 hours, 8–48 guests)
- Personalized instruction tailored to your group’s pace and skill level
- Dedicated instructors/hosts to guide your tables
- Mahjong tables, sets, and supplies provided
- Self-serve sparkling water, tea, and still water
- Branded paper products
- Setup and cleanup handled for you
We offer three options for Private Events:
Open Play Events
Perfect for birthdays, casual gatherings, or team-building where most guests already know how to play.
- $500 minimum for 16 players
- After the minimum is met, it's $30 per additional guest
- Includes tea, seltzer, water, and use of our branded party paper goods
- Note: Open play events do not include Mahjong instruction
Instructor-Led Special Event Classes
Great for bridal showers, corporate groups, bachelorette parties, or birthday parties with guests new to Mahjong.
- $90 per person
- Includes full Mahjong 101 instruction, guided play, and hands-on coaching
- Tea, seltzer, water, and branded party paper goods provided
- 2.5 hour session with trained instructors
- Minimum of 8 guests
