Join Lily Pad’s Beginner Mini-League— three Monday evenings of tiles, laughter, and friendly competition! We’re all about helping our new players build confidence and community through play. This mini league was designed just for our recent Mahjong 101 and 102 grads; a cozy, low pressure way to stay in the rhythm of the game and connect with others who are learning too. Over the season, you’ll improve your game, meet fellow players, and compete for prizes in our welcoming parlor.

🐸 Schedule: Last 3 Mondays in April

    • April 13th· League Night (6:30 - 8:30 PM)
    • April 20th· League Night (6:30 - 8:30 PM)
    • April 27th· Championship Night (6:30 - 8:30 PM)

🐸  Registration

  • Includes all 3 sessions
  • Eligible for weekly prizes & championship

🐸 Skill Level

  • Beginner: Mahjong 101 or equivalent required

This league is designed for recent 101 and 102 grads to practice and connect with other players that are learning too!

🐸  Sub Policy

Can’t make a night? Send a substitute or ask us to find a sub and their score will count toward your total. Subs may still win weekly prizes.

🐸  Scoring & Prizes

  • NMJL rules with bonuses:
  • Self-pick +10 | Jokerless +10 | Wall game +10 | Discard –10
  • Top 3 scores from first 4 games of the night count
  • Weekly winners receive small prizes
  • League Championship Night Prizes: Prizes for 1st-3rd!

All open play and league registrations are subject to the City of Chicago Amusement Tax, which we are required to collect by law.
